Garmin's
"Get You Home" Pocket Navigator
MAY-04-00
Product Category: Navigation, Outdoors
Garmin has put it all together - small size, a robust waterproof
design, and ease of use - in their palm-held eTrex GPS receiver.
Easily operated with one hand, this mini-titan GPS receiver
can receive the signal of up to 12 satellites to compute and
update your geographic position.

The eTrex stores up to 500 waypoints with name and graphic
icon symbology, and provides one reversible route with up
to 50 waypoints. Using Garmin's proprietary TracBack
tracking feature, the eTrex maintains an automatic track log,
which allows the user to access ten saved tracks to let you
retrace your path in both directions.
After turning the unit on, acquisition times range from 15
seconds in warm environmental conditions to 45 seconds in
colder temperatures. The position update rate is about once
a second.

With only five operator buttons, intuitive menus, and animated
graphics, it is probably the most simple-to-use GPS device
on the market today.
With all of these features and an incredible ability to maintain
lock-on in the densest of foliage areas, this is the perfect
GPS device to take along for hiking, hunting, fishing, camping
or any outdoor activity.
